Hero Central VBS 2017
July 16 - 20, 5:45-7:45 PM
Discover Your Strength in God!
Children will study some of their favorite Bible heroes and discover the qualities that draw us closer to God. Children will discover how to use their strength for good. VBS Hero Central uses fantastic assemblies, music, science, crafts, recreation, and Bible stories to help children (and volunteers) learn ways to be God's Heroes. Register Online Here!
July 30 is the date for our next Mission Sunday. Our guests will be Chris Barnhill from FrankTown Open Hearts, and Paul Givens from the Modular Home Project. In addition to sharing their testimonies during worship, each guest will give a detailed presentation about their respective ministries during the Sunday school hour. Even if you don't regularly attend Sunday school, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about the impact of these ministries and opportunities to serve with them. Following second service everyone is invited to lunch in the pavilion with hamburgers, hot dogs, and the works. Join us for a fun and inspiring day!
It's time to sign up for Project Transformation! We need volunteers to read with the precious children at Antioch UMC, You don't need any special skills, just a heart for children. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Those over 18 must have a current background check, so please don't wait until the last minute to sign up. The sign-up sheet is in the narthex. We also need volunteers to help feed the 38 interns at Belmont University. Our dates for this are Tuesday, June 27 and Before the Project Transformation season ends, we will feed the interns one more time at Belmont University on Tuesday, July 25. If you would like to donate a dish or go and help serve the meal, sign up in the narthex, or contact Kathy Head or Miriam Camargo.
