Missions Outreach

Outreach at Epworth
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts1:8

This is the basis for our outreach ministries at Epworth UMC. We have four teams that plan and execute outreach ministries for these areas”Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and Ends of the Earth.

Our Jerusalem ” the place we live and work”is defined geographically as Williamson, Davidson, Maury, and Rutherford Counties.

Our Judea ” our region of the world”includes TN, AL, MS, GA, FL, KY, NC, SC, and VA. Short-term mission trips are the focus of this area.

Our Samaria is geographically the same as our Jerusalem, but intentionally includes groups who may be ignored or avoided because they are different from us economically, ethnically or religiously.

Our Ends of the Earth is anywhere not included in the previous three areas”the rest of the world.

These Acts 1:8 Teams are part of the overall Outreach Team. Outreach ministries are supported financially by the Faith Promise funds pledged each April at our Mission Impact Celebration (MIC). If you would like to help with our outreach ministries or with the MIC, contact Kathy Heard.
